Description:
Submit a filename and function will return extension. If no period exists in the filename, an empty string is returned.
Return Values:
Returns a string.
Example:
<cfset tmp = "some text.stuff. . .this.that">
<cfoutput>
getExtension(tmp) = #getExtension(tmp)#
</cfoutput>
